Sitting in your garden is a feat to be worked at with unflagging determination and single-mindedness - for what gardener worth his salt sits down. I am deeply committed to sitting in the garden.
Most of the mailboxes here are hanging in the wall. I found this mailbox accidentally when I walked with my girls on a sunny day to visit my friend. Isn't it cute? PS. I took the picture using my mobile :)
You've been walking in circles, searching. Don't drink by the water's edge. Throw yourself in. Become the water. Only then will your thirst end.
This is one of my many favorite parts of town. It located between Godalen and Breivik in Storhaug area. A nice place to sit and reflect myself while enjoying the view towards fjord and the mountains. Live with love and be aware. May all beings be happy :)
There are not many fountains in Stavanger. This one is located beside an old Stavanger hospital which is now being used as a Public Offices. You can see other photo of fountain which I have posted in summer 2006 here. It is in the middle of Breiavatnet which is frozen right now.
I choose this photo as Photo of the Year 2010 because I love seeing the sunset.
I interpret DP theme this month as the time which I spent with my friend Ana in the hospital. She got stroke last week and has to undergo therapy for her left leg which paralyzed. The fact that she's still very young makes me realize how precious time is. So we have to make the best of it since we don't know when it will be taken from us.
This is a railway station located in downtown Stavanger and the terminus of Sørlandsbanen. It was opened in 1872 as part of Jærbanen from Stavanger to Egersund. In 1944 it became part of Sørlandsbanen when it was concluded between Egersund and Kristiansand. The station is not big, but was equipped with a platform with a roof.
There are not many graffiti you can find in Stavanger. For theme day this month I will post the graffiti on the wall of Metropolis, a cultural center for young people in Stavanger. They change the graffiti from time to time.
Here we go again with the theme day. This month the theme is open air market. This one is in the city center in front of the marina. Too bad, when I took this picture the weather was not so nice. Cloudy and a bit rain. Maybe that's why not many people stopped by, I didn't even see the owner of those stuff.
These are my two beloved daughters who brighten my life every day.
I have posted this picture long time ago, but I guess it is okay to post it again because I think it is quite funny. Happy theme day everyone :)

Secret Passageways
Some doors you cannot open hide a mystery inside,
And words you never knew can tell you why.
A force we cannot measure more insistent than the tide
Ensures we never find the way to fly.
But close your eyes and see things that are hidden by the day
And you will find the entrance to a secret passageways.
A wall too high for climbing that’s without a single gate,
Surrounds the places where we want to be.
You know the wall will crumble if you spare the time to wait
But there’s a better way to liberty.
Just close your eyes and dream and you can claim your prize today,
if you stop looking backwards and walk down that passageway.
The answers to the questions aren’t inside an ancient book,
The answers to the questions are in you.
If you cut out the excuses, and you lift the lid to look,
I know you’ll understand what you must do.
So close your eyes, be happy, do the work another day;
There’s lots of fun and laughter further down the passageway.
