The stonage man (steinaldermannen) is a sculpture in Randaberg. A cave is found nearby where they supposedly lived 8-10.000 years ago.

A picturesque wooden church in Randaberg. Similar design you can find in many places in Norway.

Apartment Series # 25

Some nice apartments in Randaberg. The building looks well kept and it is very easy way to live in such a place.

Randaberg Library

Randaberg Library (bibliotek) is found in the community center. Libraries are a wonderful thing, as books can change a person's soul.

Small Fountain

This fountain is also located in Randaberg center. It is a peaceful place to sit and relax.

Fem Høns

"Five Hens" is a shop with nice things to your home. The name gives associations to motherly feelings.

Randaberg Center

This is part of Randaberg center, it is a rural center north of Stavanger. Nice place to live.

Marina in Tungenes

This is a small marina in Tungenes area. There are several cultural attractions organized around the old lighthouse complex at Tungenes: the lighthouse museum, the maritime museum, the sørreime collection and other art exhibits and, in addition, a cheerful café.

Opening Hours:
outside the summer season: Sundays between 12 and 5 p.m.
open daily during the summer.

House Series # 48

This is another view of my yesterday's post. The yellow building looks like an old farm building that has been converted to something else. Look at all those flower pots, really beautiful.

The Entrance

This is a private home near a marina close to Tungenes. This is North of Stavanger on the tip of main land. I like when people decorate their outside area because it is like a gift to passers by. Tomorrow I will show the whole house.

Apartment Series # 24

These apartments are located in Randaberg center, a small community center North of Stavanger. The apartments looks nice with shops and a restaurant at street level.

Viste Barnehage

This kindergarden is located next to Viste Strand Hotel. It is big and very well kept. Also easy to park when delivering your child. In Norway there is a max price to pay for your child, and cheaper for the second and third child.

The Viste Beach

Here is a small bay with sandy beach and shallow water. Perfect for family with small children and others that just want to wade in the water.

Pathway along the beach

This path leads from the Viste Strand Hotel (see yesterday's post) along the sea. As you can see there are places to sit and enjoy the food you have brought and the view.

Viste Strand Hotel

Viste Strand Hotel (Viste Beach Hotel) is located just North of Stavanger on the Western seashore. It has a very nice sandy beach just down from the hotel.
